Crystal Springs B&B

Crystal Springs was a nice place to stay for a night when in Killarney. The breakfast was very good. The single room was quite small but adequate for one night.

Cannot recommend this B & B as when we arrived exhausted from the unfamiliar driving with our confirmation letter in hand and the hostess's personal confirmation email that a two-bed room was reserved for us for two days, we were told that the only room she had for us (my 36-year-old daughter and my 73-year-old self) was a tiny, tiny room with a small double bed. When I showed her her own confirming email promising two beds, she seemed totally unconcerned and was quite rude. She was very clear that we were unwanted at her B & B. This would have been my 4th stay at Crystal Springs. I will never go back and would advise other clients of B & B Ireland to look elsewhere In Killarney. By constrast, we were treated amazingly at Springfield Lodge one block away who was willing to take us in at such a last minute notice.

In reply to you much exaggerated and unfair account of the booking , the true picture is a little different though , On May 2021 ( 18 months ago) a DOUBLE room was booked for OCTOBER 11th low season and then it was cancelled again and re booked again for July 2022 peak season . (payment basic Voucher ) which just covers a double only - 1 Double Bed standard room , Yes , unfortunately your email requesting an upgrade to a twin bedded room was lost somehow in the 1 YEAR and half since booking and for that I am so sorry and for any inconvenience . (a lot had happened in that time with covid and lock down) My booking reference went by the original reservation request from your agent showing a Voucher for a DOUBLE room .is what my records showed. so we reserved a beautiful Double room for 2 days in July , At the time you arrived late evening - unfortunately we did not have another room left available with 2 double beds to upgrade you to, But YES I did have the Double room you purchased and YES IT WAS available for you on arrival , I was NOT rude to you or your Daughter in any way, even when you were telling me all your problems with your reservations along the way and your special requirements and health issues with your Daughter , In fact I was so concerned for you both that I thought it best that I would secure a twin bedded room in a beautiful B&B nearby. Which I DID , but you seem to have forgotten that . How could you say I was rude to you when you were the one making a big scene, and insulting my professionalism of 20 years in business by saying you weren’t wanted . ( you are always treated amazingly at Crystal Springs and that’s the reason you came back again 4th time ,so you know us better than that )

Crystal Springs B&B is a beautiful place. We arrived after dark (in the rain) on Halloween night. Eileen was gracious and suggested several places for dinner in nearby downtown. Breakfast the next morning was one of the best during our week stay....so much food! Enjoyed our conversation about country music and visiting Nashville. Highly recommend.

Crystal Springs was our first stop on our anniversary trip. It was lovely even in the rain. The dining area was so wonderful and Eileen took good care of us. She directed us to the Ross Castle and the Ring of Kerry. Irish coffee is the best. Thanks Eileen. Sorry we came in so late.

Most beautiful dining room on our vacation! Loved the location right on the banks of the river, and the room was neat and cozy. Excellent jumping off point for a Ring of Kerry drive, and not far from Killarney town center - perhaps a 15 min walk. Thank you for a lovely stay!
