Forest Hill

This was our first ever experience with Ireland B&B (or any B&B outside the US)-this is the only reason for the "superb" rating (9/10). 10/10-"exceptional"-implies we have other experiences to compare it to which we do not; however, I have faith in the other reviewers who did rate it 10/10. We had a lovely two nights with Delores who is absolutely delightful. The room and ensuite were cozy but all we needed. The view of the Lough Corrib was beautiful, and the breakfasts hearty! Delores made us feel like family and was quick with helpful hints and suggestions to enjoy the local area. Highly recommend!

The B&B is located in a wonderfully beautiful landscape and has a great host, Dolores, who is very nice and served us a hearty breakfast in the morning. We had a lovely stay in Ireland.

We enjoyed our stay so much! Dolores is an attentive and gracious host who made us feel like family. We had a wonderful experience in this beautiful home. The location was ideal for exploring Galway county, and the town that Forest Hill is located and it’s very charming. We drove into Galway city when we wanted a more lively atmosphere, but also were able to relax in this scenic community. The breakfast was fantastic and you could choose a full Irish breakfast or something lighter if desired. I highly recommend Forest Hill.

We absolutely adored staying with Dolores! She is such a lovely woman who made us feel so so welcome in her home! The B&B is very close to a lake, which was very nice. Our room was very clean and we were provided with everything we needed. We could choose between a salty or sweet breakfast, which I personally loved as someone who does not eat much meat. Dolores had a lot of great tips on what to do and you could tell she loves having people in her home. What we loved most about our stay was her hospitality. We also enjoyed the company of her daughter’s dog. If we ever visit the Connemara area again, we will definitely check in with Dolores again! Thank you so much from “The Germans”, Dolores! We loved staying with you! 🤍
