We had a lovely stay with Anne. This B&B is outstanding. It is a beautiful house. The cooked breakfast was delicious. We would return if ever coming back to this part of Ireland.

Anne was amazing gracious host and we loved the self walking tour that she helped us organize. Also convenient to have the Inn next door for some dinner and guiness.

Hiking and Biking: We are only 15 minutes from the Ballyhoura region with its varied walking trails. The area offers nine looped walks varying in length and difficulty. The area is also a national cycling hub and hosts the largest mountain bike park which spans 96km. You’ll be able to cycle forest roads, single tracks, bound walls, tunnels and rocky hills
Lough Gur: A 10-minute drive from our home will take you to Lough Gur an archaeological gem! Located in a location of unspoilt beauty and surrounded by rugged hills, Lough Gur’s history will fascinate you. It is the only area in Ireland where you can see visible evidence of every age since Neolithic times. You’ll see stone circles, ancient habitation sites, megalith tombs. Crannogs and castles. The heritage Centre on the lakefront provides information on the surrounding sites and attractions in the local area.
Medieval Kilmallock: Killmallock is a medieval walled town and was one of the principal towns of the province of Munster in medieval times. A large part of the old town walls have survived the test of time along with two gates, the Blossom Gate and John’s Gate which is a landmark in the centre of the town. Places of architectural heritage include King’s Castle, Collegaite Church, The Stone Mansion, Famine Memorial Park and the Dominican Abbey. Visitors can explore the town via the historical trail or avail of a guided tour. Killmallock Museum holds a small collection of implements dealing with industrial, farming, rural, shop and home life in the 19th and 20th centuries and provides a very informative exhibition of Kilmallock’s historic past.
