We recognise that our organisation has an important role to play in protecting the environment for future generations and to help protect the long-term sustainability of the Tourism Industry.

B&B Ireland homes are committed to conducting their operations in a manner which minimises environmental risk and minimises adverse effects on the environment. The organisation’s bed and breakfasts strive to enhance its environmental performance in the following areas:

• Efficient use of energy
• Conservation of water
• Minimization and Recycling of waste
• Prevention of pollution

You can play your part while staying in a B&B Ireland home:

• Turn off all lights and electrical equipment when leaving your room.
• Close the windows if the heat is on in your room.
• Towels left hanging in the bathroom will be left for you to reuse, others will be changed.
• Please try not to run water unnecessarily and inform your B&B owner if you notice any leaks.
• While holidaying in Ireland, minimise your disposal of rubbish where possible, dispose of your rubbish as you go. Ensure to use recycling bins when you are disposing of plastics and papers.  
• Respecting the environment during your stay and continuing to do so after departure.
