What a great home and location! Tim was very understanding because we were running late for check-in. We had to park on the street but that was not an issue, it was free! Easy walk to downtown restaurants and pubs. Take time to walk through the property as there are several rooms with interesting antiques. We passed on breakfast but everyone looked like they were enjoying it.

Is it a B&B, a boarding house or an antique hotel? The room was great although slightly on the smaller size. It is a short walk to the town center with restaurant choices and pubs. This house probably has about 20+ rooms. There was parking, but only for two cars and that was very tight. I assume the rest, if they had a car, parked on the street. They had a front desk, but it was rarely manned, just a phone number to call. It's not what I expected and not what I would recommend.

Glen Gat House was in a good location for us on our tour of Ireland. Dundalk was a good stop with restaurants an easy walk. The home had many beautiful antiques. Our room was basic but clean. Breakfast was good, the reception and serving staff were polite.
